Sonakshi Rastogi

For Sonakshi, dance has always been more than just a performance. It is her happy place, a way to express herself, and something that has been part of her life for as long as she can remember.

Her journey with dance began at the age of six, simply because she enjoyed moving to the music. What started as a childhood hobby soon grew into a passion, bringing her onto the stage at countless school and college events, as well as dance competitions where she won several prizes and accolades.

Over the years, she also discovered her interest in choreography, creating performances for school and college events. During her college years, she worked as a freelance dance instructor and choreographer, teaching children and choreographing dances for weddings and special celebrations.

After moving to Japan, she continued to keep her passion alive, performing at Indian cultural and community celebrations, including Diwali, Holi, Raas Garba, and Navratri events.

With a style that blends Bollywood, freestyle, hip-hop, and jazz, Sonakshi enjoys exploring different rhythms, experimenting with choreography, and bringing her own energy and expressions to the stage.

For her, dance has never been about getting every step perfect. It is about feeling the music, expressing emotions, and most importantly, enjoying every moment of it and sharing that joy with others.
